Nonie Perlas

Hello, I'm Nonie and I am a Clinical Professional Counselor Intern. We all are familiar with stress. Stress is the main culprit of most of our problems, however, it is how we respond to stress that may trigger the cascading of related body responses that can disrupt our health or benefit from it. While prayers and meditation are not meant to replace antibiotics or a fit diet, they can begin alleviating fear and let one enter into a self-discovery journey where one can even find oneself. Factors such as a broken heart, living alone, depression and poor marital relationships can contribute to bad health and leave one not living life to the fullest. These treatment strategies work with children, adolescents, young, midlife and the elderly.

Heredity and temperament can be in our DNA. Understand why we are more stress-prone than others. Clients can be taught to be optimists, think calming thoughts and be resilient. It is my job to introduce each individual how to respond within the realm of their own understanding of their individual self. Find the truth in your past to connect with the present.

The healing connection of Mind, Body & Soul. Scientists still continue to focus on the channels linking emotions to health. I accept the challenge to put their empirical discoveries to work. As an Existential Therapist, this holistic approach is an integration to my work. Individuals attain physical and mental health to reach a perfect balance.
