Kana Nootemboom
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Certified Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapist, and Clinical Director
Welcome! My name is Kana and I serve as the Clinical Director and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist here at Healing with Grace.

My passion is supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life's many challenges. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, or relationship issues, my goal is to provide you with compassionate, expert care.

As a wife of 28 years, parent to two daughters and a proud dog owner, I understand firsthand the joys and struggles that come with balancing family life, work, and personal wellness. This experience has deepened my commitment to helping others who feel lost, struggle with knowing who they are, or have difficulty speaking up. I'm here to help you overcome internal fears and negative self-talk, offering practical tools to manage social and emotional challenges. My goal is to help you build emotional regulation and resilience, fostering a deep sense of self-worth and confidence. Together, we’ll work toward creating a life where you truly value and appreciate yourself.

In couples therapy, I draw from a variety of proven approaches such as Gottman, IFS for couples, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Prepare and Enrich. I tailor my sessions to meet your unique relationship needs, fostering stronger communication, connection, and trust. As someone who has navigated the complexities of marriage, I bring both professional and personal insight into my work with couples.

As a certified EMDR therapist, I specialize in trauma recovery. I provide a nurturing, safe environment for clients to heal from past experiences and move forward with confidence. For those interested in faith-based counseling, I also offer non-judgmental Christian counseling. However, you don’t need to be Christian to work with me—my practice is inclusive and welcoming to all.

I am also certified in ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. For clients who have felt stuck despite talk therapy or psychiatric medication, KAP may offer a new path toward healing. This treatment is not suitable for everyone, and medical clearance is required, but many have found it to lead to therapeutic breakthroughs at a faster rate than traditional methods.

Licensed in both Nevada and California, my aim is to create a supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to achieve your emotional wellness goals. Whether you're seeking support as an individual or as part of a couple or family, I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to healing and growth.
